Replacing An Old House In Newry
Lorraine came to Tumilty Design when she was thinking of buying an old house and needed advice on the process she should go through.
She came to us with photos and ideas from Pinterest of what she wanted her dream home to look like. She loved the open light aspect that she seen on Pinterest, therefore we knew we needed to incorporate this in her new build. Bringing photos with her allowed Lorraine to show Tumilty Design what she envisioned her new home to look like. This helped us bring both the client and our ideas together and create a house that suited the land she had bought and her vision.
When asked if she would recommend Tumilty Design, she said, “Tumilty Design has helped me from the start of my new house journey. During the first consultation, Mark listened to what I liked and what I wanted to have in my new house.. When I was unsure of the process to go through, Mark was there to guide me and answer any of the questions I had. The one aspect I knew I wanted in my new home was a ‘big window feature’. When I mentioned this to Mark and showed him photos of my vision, he knew exactly what I was after and produced it to a TEE! I do recommend Mark to anyone who is wishing to make alterations to their existing home or needing a new build like me.”
Lorraine bought this house and garden and came to Tumilty Design to see if she would need to knock the existing building down or if she could renovate it. Tumilty Design recommended a new build dwelling at it was ZERO% VAT other wise if she was to renovate the existing house, it would have included 20% VAT on all construction costs. This means that there is no VAT on the new dwelling allowing all the Clients funds to be spent on her dream home
As previously mentioned, Lorraine knew she loved the ‘big window’ aspect that she had seen on Pinterest, therefore we ensured to include this in the main room of the house.
